Compact submersible PM motors

In total DAC Electric developed three unique and tailor-made motors for the special fish-friendly pumps from Hofmeijer Mechanics and Pumps. The motors are compact, robust, water-proof and extremely efficient due to the permanent magnet construction. Powers range from 2,2 up to 8,3 kW, speeds range from 300-600 rpm. Due to their compact design, it is possible to implement higher powers in existing pumpwell’s therefore significant changes to well foundation and constructions belong to the history.

Safety is #1 at DAC Electric!

DAC Electric continues its progress in safety and quality in all assets of its business. Today, four colleagues of the projects department have completed the SCC (VCA-VOL), SCC is the abbreviation for Safety Health and the Environment (SHE) Checklist Contractors. This acknowledgement certifies and makes it possible that we operate with greater safety awareness and reduce the number of accidents.

Furthermore, another four employees successfully  finished the Emergency Response Officers (BHV) training.

ERO’s are people who are trained to be the first in line of response in any emergency situation.

Safety in the workplace is important.

For DAC Electric and for our customers, safety has the highest priority. This is reflected in our pursuit of these competencies resulting in this certification. For us great and safe step forward!

PS Vier Noorder Koggen

DAC Electric supplied three (3) pieces DirectDrive motors for Dutch Water Authority “Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier”.

The pumping station is located in Onderdijk, The Netherlands and replace the old diesel engines. The pumping station will have availability of two (2) identical motors with an output power of 308 kW at 170 rpm which generates a torque of 17.302 Nm and one (1) larger motor with an output power of 566 kW at 206 rpm which generates a torque of 26.240 Nm.

New submersible product range

DAC Electric started the development to design a new product range of submersible motors in squirrel-cage and permanent magnet execution.

These new type of submersible motors are a complement to the existing range of submersible motors but will serve a complete different field of application and industry. The existing range is especially designed for dredge pump design.. The new submersible motor range is much smaller in rated power and torque and will be used for for well-head pumping stations, sewage stations etc..

The final product launch will be expected at the 2nd quarter of 2016.
